About Change DPI
DPI (dots per inch) tells printers and apps like Word how big to print an image. Many forms and print shops ask for 300 DPI. For JPG, PNG and BMP files, changing the DPI here only edits that setting: the pixels, and so the quality and file size, stay exactly the same.
The result shows the print size at the new DPI. To actually add or remove pixels for a print size, use “Resize Image in CM”.
