Are my files uploaded to a server?

What quality should I choose?

For photos, 70–80% usually looks identical to the original at a fraction of the size. Go lower for thumbnails, higher for print.

Why did I get my original file back?

It was already compressed better than a new JPG or WebP would be, so re-saving it would only make it bigger. The result tells you how big the new version would have been. Set a max width to make it smaller anyway.

I need a file under a specific size. What should I use?
