Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. GetResize processes your files inside your own browser. They never leave your device, so the tool is private and works fast even on slow connections.

Why can't I open AVIF files?

AVIF is newer than JPG, and older apps, Windows photo viewers and many upload forms don't support it yet. JPG works everywhere.
