Which format do you need?

All 10 tools here run in your browser, so your files never leave your device.

Photos and images

JPG is best for photos and is accepted everywhere. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparent backgrounds, so it suits screenshots, logos and graphics. WebP makes smaller files for websites. Converting between these three happens in your browser.

iPhone and camera formats

HEIC (iPhone photos), TIFF and AVIF don't open everywhere. HEIC to JPG, TIFF to JPG and AVIF to JPG turn them into files any device can open. AVIF converts in your browser; HEIC and TIFF use our server.

Documents to PDF

Word, Excel and PowerPoint files become PDFs that look the same on every device, ready to email or print. Web pages, Markdown, EPUB books and photos can be turned into PDFs too.

PDF back to editable files

PDF to Word, Excel and PowerPoint rebuild an editable document from a PDF. They work best when the PDF contains real text; for scanned pages, run OCR PDF first. PDF to JPG and PNG save each page as an image.

Questions

Which image format should I use?

Use JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with a transparent background, and WebP when you want the smallest files for a website.

How do I open iPhone HEIC photos on Windows?

Convert them with HEIC to JPG. JPG files open in every app, browser and website, and you can convert many photos at once.

Will PDF to Word keep my layout?

Text and images are rebuilt as an editable Word document. Complex layouts may need small fixes afterwards, and scanned PDFs need OCR PDF first so there is text to convert.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes. The image converters take several files together, and you can download the results one by one or as a single ZIP.

Are converted files kept on your server?

No. Conversions that need our server send the file over HTTPS and delete it as soon as the converted file is sent back. JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF conversions never leave your browser.
